This bi-directional relationship is especially important for fat loss. In this session, Paul will simplify the complex neurobiology involved in eating behaviour and reveal the barriers that the biological and psychological barriers to fat loss, and more importantly, what we can do about it.

This session looks at the mechanisms and motivators that may drive a person to unhealthy weight management behaviours and how these behaviours impact a person’s physical and mental health. Identifying clients at risk is not necessarily based on body weight or size, from obese to underweight and anything in between. This session looks beyond the physical focus of ‘health at every size’ and what fitness professionals can do to assist the recovery of a person that is struggling with disordered eating, excessive exercise or an eating disorder.
